Acapulco Nights 9/26/14, Memorial Tribute to Joe Sample

This week we pay tribute to the late Joe Sample. The American pianist passed away on September 12. As well as playing with his group The Crusaders and his solo albums, Sample played on hundreds of records by some of the best in jazz, soul, funk, disco, and rock, including Miles Davis, BB King, Steely Dan, Bill Withers, The Supremes, Quincy Jones, and Merry Clayton. Studebaker Hawk presents his favorites from Sample's discography.
